Researched articles on self-efficacy, communication and optimism, as well as findings on resilience and optimism in neural networks. Transcribed three interviews and used "The Yellow Diaries" blog of actress and former model, Lisa Ray, discussing how she has dealt with her diagnosis of multiple myeloma since 2009 and how it has affected her life.

An Overview on Empathy: A positive actor in sustaining peaceful and constructive relationships with individuals and groups within society

Defined empathy and its role in maintaining successful relationships between individuals, as well as its key role in achieving and sustaining peace within groups of individuals. Using two articles from popular media sources (Psychology Today and TIME magazine) and comparing them to numerous articles in scientific journals and notes from two courses from previous academic year, I came to the conclusion that empathy does lead to a notable decrease in physical violence and use of hurtful words to abuse and manipulate others.
